COMMERCIAL LICENSE AGREEMENT
1. Parties
Licensor: CapitalOfMystery.com
Licensee: The individual or legal entity that purchased or lawfully received the digital game kit.
2. Definitions
“Game Kit” – All PDFs, images, scripts, text, and artwork included in the download package.
“Commercial Event” – Any ticketed or paid-for gathering, corporate function, or public performance where the Game Kit is used.
3. Grant of Rights
The Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual license to:
Print or otherwise reproduce the Game Kit for personal use;
Host an unlimited number of private events (e.g., home game nights) at no additional cost;
Host up to twenty (20) Commercial Events per calendar year with up to fifty (50) attendees each, provided that the Licensee is the organizer.
4. Restrictions
The Licensee shall NOT:
Sell, sublicense, upload, or distribute the digital files or printed materials beyond the limits in §3;
Alter or remove any copyright, trademark, or credit notices;
Create derivative works for resale (e.g., new mystery kits, templates, or stock art) based on the Game Kit;
Use any trademarks or trade dress from the Game Kit to launch a competing product.
5. Attribution
When promoting a Commercial Event online or in print, the Licensee must display the credit line:
“Bandwidth & Backstabs ™ © 2025 CapitalOfMystery.com – Used under license.”
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual-property rights remain the sole property of the Licensor. No ownership is transferred by this Agreement.
7. Updates & Revocation
The Licensor may release updated versions of the Game Kit. The Licensee is entitled to free updates for one (1) year from purchase. Violation of this Agreement automatically terminates the license.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Game Kit is provided “as is.” The Licensor disclaims all warranties, express or implied. In no event shall the Licensor’s total liability exceed the original purchase price.
9. Acceptance
Downloading, opening, or using any part of the Game Kit constitutes the Licensee’s acceptance of this Agreement.
