Slick Rick’s is the hottest chrome-and-checkerboard pit-stop on Route 66—where jukeboxes croon, burgers sizzle, and secrets simmer beneath every vinyl booth. On the night of Johnny “Jukebox” James’s live-radio audition, a rogue vacuum tube turns the record-lathe into a firework, torching his shot at stardom and plunging the diner into panic. Twelve regulars—crooners, cooks, greasers, agents, and soda-jerks—each had a stake in seeing Johnny fall.

A Three-Act Sock-Hop Thriller

Orders Up! Players trade whispers over sizzling grills and cherry colas, uncovering jealous ex-duets, unpaid jukebox invoices, and a curious grease-smeared nickel.

Second Course throws the spotlight onto hand-jive battles, impromptu sing-offs, and a midnight fuse swap that hints at corporate sabotage. Garrulous gossip turns to pointed questions when a burnt vacuum-tube box bearing a talent-agency stamp lands on the evidence board.

Last Call drops the electrifying reveal: a backward-spinning acetate that murmurs the saboteur’s confession, just as accusations fly and point totals stack.

Gameplay That Rocks

Act-Break Order Pads: Diner-ticket–styled clue cards guarantee new intel flows at the perfect pace.

Mini-Challenges: Dance-offs and sing-offs let extroverts shine while quieter sleuths analyze evidence.

Kodachrome Evidence Prints: Twelve lush 4 × 3 photos—torn love letters, scorched tube boxes, and bowling scorecards—add tactile immersion and Instagram-worthy set dressing.

Detective Notebooks with 1950s Slang Decoder make players feel like teen reporters in a dime-store pulps.

Made for Any Gathering
Whether you’re hosting a retro birthday bash, a corporate ice-breaker, or a family game night, Greasepaint & Gumshoes blends period style with streamlined mechanics so even first-time sleuths hit the ground rockin’. Optional roles allow 8, 10, or 12 players without rewrites, and every file is sized for home printing or Canva tweaks.

What Sets It Apart

Era-Perfect Soundtrack Links: Built-in Spotify playlists keep the joint jumpin’.

Prop Suggestions: Checkerboard floor decals, neon-pink straws, and vinyl 45 drink coasters turn any living room into a diner.
