Whispers over Wisteria
Kyoto Teahouse Mystery
Plot:
Kyoto, 1742. Beneath the cascading wisteria of Matsuya Teahouse, respected master potter Hoshino Genzō gathers an influential circle of patrons, artisans, performers, merchants, and servants for an elegant tea ceremony. But before the evening is over, Genzō is discovered dead near the garden trellis—and someone among the guests is responsible.
Behind the beauty of the teahouse lies a tangled web of rivalries, concealed dealings, damaged reputations, and suspicious movements. A disturbed serving tray, a contaminated tea bowl, a discarded medicine sachet, and an unusual freight record offer pieces of the truth, but none tells the whole story alone.
Players must step into character, question one another, compare timelines, examine six evidence items, and separate private scandals from genuine murder clues. Can they uncover the motive, method, and opportunity—and expose the killer before the final confession?

Reviews from Real Detectives
"The Greed & Gouda kit turned our ordinary Saturday dinner into a full-blown Wall Street whodunit. The host script was fool-proof — even for first-timers. Our guests are already begging for the next game night!"
"I needed a fresh idea for our remote team social. The mystery kept 24 coworkers laughing and collaborating for two solid hours. HR is making this a standing tradition."
"We ran the mystery for my daughter's birthday on Zoom. The story was clean, the clues were challenging, and setup took less than an hour. Parents messaged me asking where to buy their own kit."
"I've purchased mystery kits from three other sites. None matched the polish of Capital of Mystery. Instant downloads, gorgeous PDFs, and clear Host vs. Player sections — zero spoilers. Five stars."
"We hosted the 1920s Speakeasy game for a birthday dinner and everyone stayed in character longer than expected. The evidence cards made the night feel organized but still gave everyone room to improvise."
"The game worked perfectly for our group of 18. I loved that the instructions were clear, the roles felt balanced, and even quieter guests had useful secrets and clues to share."
"I was nervous about hosting for the first time, but the host guide made it easy. We printed everything the same afternoon and played that night. The final reveal got a huge reaction."
