Plot:

Beneath the lantern glow of Matsuya Teahouse in Kyoto, 1742, the night begins as a celebration—wisteria in bloom, honored guests gathering, and Master potter Hoshino Genzō presenting his finest work. The opening matcha is poured with perfect ceremony… and then the warmth of the evening shatters.

Moments later, Genzō is found dead near the wisteria trellis, his passing unnervingly clean—no struggle, no blade, only a sudden silence that feels planned. As the teahouse doors close, whispers spread through the tatami rooms: rival artisans hungry for prestige, debts hidden behind polite smiles, and a powerful shadow that moves through Kyoto by seal and favor.

Soon, troubling signs emerge: a stained tea-bowl, a serving tray that hints at a swap, a sachet of dark berries, and a tally sheet linking pottery shipments to something far more dangerous. With every Act, new evidence surfaces and loyalties shift. Someone used courtesy as a weapon—and in this house of ritual and reputation, the killer is still among you.

By the final vote, your guests must name the murderer and justify it with evidence… before the wisteria’s whispers become the only truth left standing.

How it plays:

3 Acts of guided roleplay + private talks.

The host reveals 2 evidence cards per Act (K-01→K-06) at set moments.

End of each Act: a quick accusation round (each player shares one suspicion).

Finale: everyone submits one secret ballot naming the killer and citing 2 evidence IDs, then the host reveals the solution.

Perfect for:

Dinner parties & game nights (4–30 players).

Groups who like social deduction + storytelling (not math/puzzles).

Hosts who want a structured, print-ready kit with clear pacing.

Anyone who loves historical vibes (Kyoto lanterns, wisteria, tea ceremony) and no modern-tech clues.
