Plot:
At the height of Prohibition, the hidden doors of Club Cat’s Meow open for another night of jazz, secrets, and illegal glamour. Behind the velvet curtains, guests sip bootleg drinks, make quiet deals, and pretend not to notice the danger moving through the room.
Tonight’s star is Ruby L’Amour, the club’s dazzling headline singer. Ruby has charm, beauty, and a voice that can silence the whole room — but she also knows too much. She knows who is lying, who is cheating, who is paying for silence, and who would be ruined if the truth came out.
Before her final set, Ruby hints that someone in the club will be exposed before midnight.
Then she disappears into the private Blue Lounge.
Minutes later, Ruby is found dead.
There is no obvious weapon, no public struggle, and no easy answer. Every guest had something to hide, and several had a reason to fear Ruby’s next words.
