Plot:

At Aegis Academy’s graduation gala, the suits are sharp, the jazz is smooth, and every cadet is one toast away from becoming “licensed.” But at ~21:12, the night snaps in half: Valedictorian Cadet Verona/Veron “Viper” Kane raises a martini, flashes that famous dangerous smile, bites the garnish—then collapses in front of everyone.

The medic confirms what no one wants to hear: this is murder.

With the room locked in shock and suspicion, the academy’s golden finale becomes a live investigation. Only what you can extract from each other under pressure—contradictions, quiet motives, and the paper trail Kane was building on the people who thought they were untouchable.

Across three escalating acts, new evidence appears, alliances form, alibis crack, and the killer hides in plain sight—one of the players, moving like they belong… because they do. In the end, everyone votes. One suspect. One method. One motive.

And the truth lands like a final stamp: at Aegis Academy, sometimes you don’t earn your license—you survive it.

How it plays:

Everyone gets a character folio with secrets + prompts.

You mingle, interrogate, and trade info across 3 Acts.

Each Act adds new physical evidence (2 items) and a quick group mini-challenge to stir interaction.

Players build a case (method + motive + opportunity), then vote. Host reveals the solution.

Perfect for:

4–30 players, mixed groups (friends, coworkers, families 13+).

Birthday parties, team events, game nights, graduation/spy-theme parties.

Groups who want fun roleplay + real deduction without gore or complicated rules.

Mystery Game FAQS

Do players need a phone, apps, or any “tech clues”?

No. The theme is spy-school, but the mystery uses paper/physical evidence only—no phones or digital forensics.

Does the host need to play a character?

No—hosting works best as host-only, but you can still act “in theme” as the academy handler/MC.

Does the killer know they’re the killer during the game?

No. The killer finds out only at the final reveal (the host gives them a sealed confession page).

Is it hard to run as a first-time host?

It’s designed to be beginner-friendly with a structured host flow: OPENING → ACT 1 → ACT 2 → ACT 3 → BALLOT → REVEAL.

Is it appropriate for teens / is it scary?

It’s PG-13: stylish, dramatic, and playful—no gore.

Can I play with only 4–7 players?

Yes. The game includes a host “rumor” system to replace missing info-hub roles when playing smaller groups.

Can names be male or female?

Yes—roles are gender-switchable, so each character can be played as male or female.

What actually happens in the story (spoiler-free)?

During the opening toast, the valedictorian collapses. It’s murder, and the room is locked into an investigation.

Do we need to memorize anything or improvise heavily?

No. Each player follows their folio prompts for what to reveal, what to ask, and how to respond.

Do players keep their information secret or share it?

Both—players choose what to share, but the game works best when everyone trades clues and pressures contradictions.

Is there a “detective” role?

No single detective is required—everyone investigates and votes.
