WWII Occupied Paris
Shadows of the Résistance
Plot:
Paris, November 1943. Curfew approaches, ration cards are scarce, and the requisitioned Hotel Lutetia has become a dangerous centre of occupation bureaucracy and military intelligence.
Behind the closed shutters of a Left Bank café, a Resistance cell prepares a secret document transfer to Madeleine, a trusted courier known as L’Hirondelle. The operation depends on a familiar signal: a red scarf appearing in an east service window, followed by the brief opening of Stair B during a scheduled laundry movement.
The scarf appears. Madeleine enters the hotel—but she never reaches the meeting point.
Minutes later, she is found dead on the lower service landing. Her satchel has been searched, a length of dark steel wire lies nearby, and the cell’s records tell conflicting stories. One watch shows the wrong time, several alibis overlap, and someone understood the operation well enough to turn its own signal system into a deadly trap.
With trust rapidly disappearing, the players must question one another, examine the evidence, reconstruct the timeline, and expose the killer before the Resistance cell is torn apart from within.

What Hosts Are Saying
Reviews from Real Detectives
"The Greed & Gouda kit turned our ordinary Saturday dinner into a full-blown Wall Street whodunit. The host script was fool-proof — even for first-timers. Our guests are already begging for the next game night!"
"I needed a fresh idea for our remote team social. The mystery kept 24 coworkers laughing and collaborating for two solid hours. HR is making this a standing tradition."
"We ran the mystery for my daughter's birthday on Zoom. The story was clean, the clues were challenging, and setup took less than an hour. Parents messaged me asking where to buy their own kit."
"I've purchased mystery kits from three other sites. None matched the polish of Capital of Mystery. Instant downloads, gorgeous PDFs, and clear Host vs. Player sections — zero spoilers. Five stars."
"We hosted the 1920s Speakeasy game for a birthday dinner and everyone stayed in character longer than expected. The evidence cards made the night feel organized but still gave everyone room to improvise."
"The game worked perfectly for our group of 18. I loved that the instructions were clear, the roles felt balanced, and even quieter guests had useful secrets and clues to share."
"I was nervous about hosting for the first time, but the host guide made it easy. We printed everything the same afternoon and played that night. The final reveal got a huge reaction."
