THE SETTING

Valentine’s Day Mystery

Hearts, Arrows & Homicide

Plot:

The annual Hearts & Arrows Valentine Gala is supposed to be the most romantic event of the season — a glamorous evening of roses, candlelight, champagne, luxury chocolates, handwritten vows, and polished smiles.

But behind the beautiful decorations, the guests are hiding secrets. Morgan, the sharp-eyed figure behind the gala’s future, knows more than anyone wants revealed. Some guests need Morgan’s approval. Some need Morgan’s silence. And some fear that one announcement could destroy their money, reputation, romance, or career.

During the evening’s signature candlelit toast beneath the rose-covered arch, the room falls into a planned moment of darkness. When the candles glow again, Morgan raises a champagne flute, drinks, and collapses.

Now the celebration becomes an investigation. Players must question each other, trade clues, expose secrets, and decide who used a night of love as the perfect cover for murder.

Capital of Mystery

How it plays:

Players receive character folios with secrets, suspicions, and goals, then mingle freely to question each other, trade clues, defend themselves, and build theories. The host reveals evidence across three acts before everyone casts a final accusation naming the killer, motive, method, and opportunity.

Perfect for:

Valentine’s parties, date-night groups, dinner parties, Galentine’s celebrations, couples’ nights, themed birthdays, and anyone who wants a romantic, dramatic, and social murder mystery game without reading from a script.
